(Charlotte, NC.) -- For the second time this season Waubonsee Community College's Isabelle Harkleroad was named the NJCAA's Division II Women's Soccer Goalkeeper of the Week. The Geneva High School graduate was honored for her play during the week of October 11, and was also previously recognized for her outstanding play the first week of September. Harkleroad turned back 13 shots on the way to helping the Chiefs tally two shutouts. Waubonsee blanked Moraine Valley Community College 2-0 on October 13 to clinch the Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference title for the second straight time. Three days later she again registered a shutout in a 9-0 drubbing of Kankakee Community College. On the season the sophomore keeper has been credited with 86 saves, posting a .977 save percentage and an anemic 0.23 goals against average with five shutouts.
Waubonsee (12-1-1) has outscored its opponents 59-7 overall this fall, and the Chiefs are currently ranked seventh in the NJCAA's Division II rankings. Waubonsee is set to host fifth ranked South Suburban College tomorrow, Saturday, October 23 beginning at 11:00 a.m. The Bulldogs (12-1) and Chiefs are currently seeded first and second respectively in the NJCAA's Region IV, with the post-season tournament set to begin next week.
