(Charlotte, NC) - For the second week in a row Waubonsee Community College's women's soccer team has been ranked third nationally in the latest NJCAA's Division II poll, which was released earlier in the week from the organization's national office in Charlotte, North Carolina. Coach Brad Schlemmer's Chiefs (9-0) are led by forward Katie Jones' 11 goals, along with the play of returning All-Americans Olivia McPherson and Lindsay Ferris, and keeper Isabelle Harkleroad. Waubonsee has won its' first nine matches of the season by a combined score of 41-3. The Chiefs have picked up this Fall right where they left off this past Spring. After not competing for over 15 months due to the Covid pandemic, the Chiefs completed an abbreviated but very successful 2021 Spring season, capped off by reaching the NJCAA Division II National Tournament in early June.
