This Thursday evening, February 13, will be a special evening in Waubonsee's Erickson Hall Gymnasium.
Both the women's and men's basketball teams will be playing their final regular season home games. Approximately 10 minutes prior to the start of each game the Chiefs' sophomore players and their parents will be honored. The women's contest is scheduled to begin at 5:15 p.m, while the men's game is set to begin at 7:15 p.m.
Also Thursday evening Waubonsee will be holding its first Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Awareness Night. Diane Robinson, mother of Waubonsee men's head coach Lance Robinson, was stricken with MS and passed away in 2014. In honor of her and all those impacted by MS, the Student Athlete Advisory Committee is accepting cash donations this evening for admission to the game. All the proceeds will go towards MS awareness and research to cure this devastating disease. It will be 'White-Out' night at Waubonsee as white, commemorative MS Awareness t-shirts will be randomly given away throughout the evening.
Both games and the additional festivities can be seen 'live' on-line at www.GoChiefs.com or www.Waubonsee.edu/LiveSports. Waubonsee's Educational Television in conjunction with the Chiefs' Athletics Department, along with IBCA Hall of Fame announcers Mark Krueger and Mark Lindo bring you all the action from Waubonsee's Erickson Hall Gymnasium.
